Tour of The Ecology of Fashion
Please save the date of August 13 at 4 pm for a private tour of The Ecology of Fashion at the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia, 1900 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy, 19103.
This is the first-ever, co-created exhibition by Drexel’s Westphall College of Media Arts & Design and the Academy of Natural Sciences and it illuminates the interconnections between fashion and the natural world. Featuring stunning and provocative garments from the renowned Robert and Penny Fox Historic Costume Collection – as well as specimens from the Academy and works by contemporary change makers – this exhibition shows how materials, production processes and even our own patterns of clothing consumption impact and are impacted by the world around us.
Our private tour will be led by Clare Sauro, director of the Fox Historic Costume Collection, who co-curated the exhibition. Capacity will be capped at 20 guests.
Please reply to anjalevitties@gmail.com to join the group. Attendance will be confirmed again closer to the date so that if your plans change we will be able to make this unique opportunity available to others.
